Day 1 Tanzania
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Lake Duluti Lodge, located on the outskirts of Arusha town, within a thirty acre coffee farm. The lodge has 18 private chalets, beautifully appointed with private bathrooms and with decks overlooking the farm. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the activities at the farm. Overnight in a chalet at LAKE DULUTI LODGE.
Day 2 Lake Manyara National Park
This morning, you will be met by your driver/ guide and will travel by road to Lake Manyara National Park and on to your luxury lodge located within the National Park. LAKE MANYARA TREE LODGE offers luxuriously appointed Tree Suites with views through the tree canopy, from the large deck area. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a safari within the Park, known for its famous tree climbing lions. There is also a variety of primates like olive baboons, black faced vervet monkeys and sykes monkeys. It is a beautiful park with large trees as well as open plains with a variety of game. Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater
Early this morning, you will be taken by road for a full day of game viewing to Ngorongoro Crater, the only “living” Caldera in the World. The Crater is home to thousands of animals that live within the Crater walls. There are many predators, particularly lion and hyena, as well as a huge variety of plains game including zebra, impala, topi, and wildebeest as well as rhino and buffalo. The birdlife is spectacular with over 500 species sighted. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the Crater, followed by some more game viewing before returning to the lodge in the late afternoon.
Day 4 Serengeti National Park
Today is a long drive to the Western Corridor in the Serengeti National Park, however, after arrival at Naabi Gate, the rest of the drive is like a long game drive through the park. Serengeti is one of the most famous National Parks in the World, and the numbers of game, especially during the annual wildebeest migration, is truly staggering. On your drive, you will most likely see lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, and a large variety of other plains game. Two nights at GRUMETI CAMP. (FI)
Day 5 Serengeti National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives within the Western Corridor, one of the most game rich areas in the Serengeti, or you may prefer to do your game viewing from the lodge which is ideally located with stunning views of the Serengeti.
Day 6 Serengeti National Park
Today you will travel to another area in the Northern part of the Serengeti, perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills, in its own private concession. This is a stunning game rich area of the Serengeti and you will be able to enjoy game viewing by day as well as night game drives. It is also, here, that you will have an opportunity to learn more about the Maasai culture. Kleins camp offers old-fashioned safari luxury with 10 beautifully appointed stone chalets with stone verandahs to take in the magnificent view over the plains. Day 7 Serengeti National Park
Morning and afternoon game viewing which offers excellent year round lion, leopard and cheetah viewing, with individually recognisable leopard regularly located. There are huge resident herds of buffalo and breeding herds of elephant and during the Great Migration, almost two million wildebeest, zebra, eland and Thomson’s gazelle follow the annual rains through the Serengeti to the adjacent Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya in search of prime grazing. Day 8 Depart
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time to connect with your onward flight. (B)
