Day 1: AUSTRALIA – SANTIAGO – LIMA

On arrival at Lima airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel located in Lima’s desirable San Isidro district. Recognised as a Peruvian national monument, the Country Club Lima Hotel is a five-star landmark boutique hotel that epitomises sophistication.

Day 2: LIMA (B, L)

Experience Peruvian gastronomy with a hands-on cooking tour. Start with a visit to one of Lima’s traditional markets to select the ingredients for your cooking lesson and discover the array of Andean spices, grains, vegetables and fruits used in Peruvian food. Our renowned chef will show you how to prepare traditional recipes like the zesty ceviche,

Causa Limeña and Lomo saltado. After lunch explore Peru’s capital city on a half day tour of colonial and modern Lima.

Day 3: LIMA – CUZCO – SACRED VALLEY (B, D)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Explora Valle Sagrado is located in one of the region’s most ancient corn plantations. Designed in line with the surroundings and sheltered by mighty mountains that were once the home to the great Inca Empire.

Day 4: SACRED VALLEY (B, L, D)

Over the next two days you will explore the Sacred Valley in depth. Choose from more than 20 half day or full day excursions by foot, bike or van. Routes are designed to encompass each area’s must-see sites, as well as less-visited areas that lie beyond.

Day 6: SACRED VALLEY - MACHU PICCHU (B, L, D)

Start your two-day trip to the unforgettable ruins of Machu Picchu with a magical train journey onboard the luxury Hiram Bingham, where you will enjoy a delicious Andean inspired brunch. On arrival, enjoy a comprehensive guided tour of the beautiful forgotten citadel. Overnight at Sumaq hotel, located at the base of the ruins. Evoking the ancestral Peruvian culture, the hotel’s unique design symbolises the four natural elements: air, fire, earth and water; which are represented in the traditional Andean cross.

Day 7: MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO (B,D)

You will have this morning at leisure to explore the ruins at your own pace, before catching the train back to Cuzco. On arrival transfer to Belmond Hotel Monasterio, a former monastery and national monument dating from 1592, is one of the most unique hotels in Cusco. This delightful retreat combines centuries-old charm with luxury hotel service.

Day 8: CUZCO (B, D)

Half day city tour of the ancient Inca capital including visits to important sights such as the beautiful Cathedral, Q’oricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the fortress of Sacsahuaman. This evening experience traditional Peruvian delicacies with a dinner at Casa Qoricancha, adjacent to the temple and housed in a colonial casona, it has an exquisite neo-baroque style.

Day 9: CUZCO – PUNO (B, L, D)

An overnight escape aboard the stylish carriages of Belmond Andean Explorer, the first luxury sleeper train crossing the Altiplano of Peru. Departing from Cusco, the journey traverses the giant peaks and crosses the wide open spaces of the highest plains of the Andes to reach Lake Titicaca – birthplace of the Incas. En route, visit the archaeological site of Racqui and Wiracocha Temple.

Day 10: LAKE TITICACA - JULIACA - LIMA (B)

Wake up to the stunning sunrise at Lake Titicaca. Experience the lake culture on a boat trip to the unique Uros floating islands. Learn how the way of life of the Uros people is dependent on the totora reeds. Transfer to the airport, fly to Lima. On arrival make your own way to your hotel located at the airport.

Day 11: LIMA – IGUAZU FALLS (B)

Fly to Iguazu. On arrival transfer to your hotel, Belmond Das Cataratas. A Portuguese-colonial residence, this is one of the most inspiring hotels in Brazil. The classic ambiance is redolent of lazy days lounging on a veranda or beneath sub-tropical palms. Enjoy an unrivalled location just a short stroll from the sensational waterfalls.

Day 12: IGUAZU FALLS (B)

Tour of the many trails on the Argentine side of the Falls, including a fantastic train ride through tropical forest, to the impressive Devil’s Throat.

Day 13: IGUAZU FALLS – RIO DE JANEIRO (B)

Enjoy a breathtaking panoramic tour of the Brazilian side of the falls with its 275 individual drops, before your flight to Rio. On arrival transfer to your hotel, Belmond Copacabana Palace. A truly iconic and glamorous hotel with Copacabana Beach only a heartbeat away, this is the best place to stay in Rio. Soak up the sun in the magnificent pool or join Brazil’s style setters at the Piano Bar.

Day 14: RIO DE JANEIRO (B, L)

Morning tour and cable car trip to one of the city’s favourite landmarks, the Sugar Loaf Mountain, for an unrivalled view of the city and Guanabara bay. Enjoy a traditional Brazilian barbecue at one of the city’s favourite places, Churrascaria Palace. Afternoon train journey through the Tijuca Forest before reaching the top of the Corcovado mountain, where you can marvel at the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue.

Day 15: RIO DE JANEIRO (B, D)

Free day to explore the city or relax by the beach. Tonight discover Rio’s nightlife at Rio Scenarium, home to a Belmond, Das Cataratas Iguazu collection of furniture and antiques turned into works of art. The 3-story house has balconies overlooking the stage, from where you can enjoy fabulous live music from the cream of Brazil’s musicians.

Day 16: RIO DE JANEIRO – BUENOS AIRES (B)

Transfer to the airport, fly to Buenos Aires. On arrival transfer to your hotel, Sofitel Buenos Aires.

The hotel features the perfect blend of French savoir faire and Argentinean tradition, with an ambience complementing exquisite decor and the delicate scent of flowers. DAY 17: BUENOS AIRES (B, D)

Experience this city of style, exploring bohemian La Boca, the tango barrio of San Telmo and the famous La Recoleta neighbourhood. This evening learn the dance of passion with a Tango lesson, before enjoying a delightful dinner at a local tango house and a spectacular show that encompasses the history of popular Argentine music.

Day 18: BUENOS AIRES (B)

Day 19: BUENOS AIRES - SANTIAGO - AUSTRALIA (B)
